ALO PCB Sans – Free Font for PCB Design

ALO PCB Sans is a custom typeface created specifically for electronics engineers, PCB designers, and makers.
This first release, ALO PCB Sans Regular, is completely FREE to download and use – so you can try it right away in your PCB design projects, silkscreen layers, or technical documentation.

Unlike standard fonts, ALO PCB Sans Regular has been carefully adapted for electronics:

• Uppercase letters (A–Z) and numbers (0–9) are optimized for clear and consistent Reference Designators (R1, C10, U5, etc.).

• Lowercase letters are repurposed into PCB-specific symbols: polarity markers (⊕ ⊖), ground ⏚, test points, connectors, passive components (R, C, L), diodes, switches, and more.

• Polarity signs (+ and –) are redesigned with circles and balanced spacing, making them much clearer on silkscreen layers.
